CHRISTIANSTED — We can expect a morning shower on St. Croix today; but otherwise, it will be partly sunny and windy with a high of 87, AccuWeather said.
Tonight St. Croix will be mainly clear with a low of 75, according to AccuWeather.
Meanwhile, a few passing showers are expected to move over the islands in our area today, the National Weather Service said.
Some stronger showers could develop over northwestern Puerto Rico this afternoon, according to the NWS.
There is a moderate risk of rip currents along north and eastern Puerto Rico, Culebra, Vieques, and for the Virgin Islands, the NWS said.
Low concentrations of Saharan dust will continue to filter in, resulting in hazy skies this weekend, according to the NWS.
Breezy conditions will foster choppy seas this weekend, the NWS said.
Small crafts should exercise caution over most of the local waters, according to the NWS.
Meanwhile, a trough is forecast to approach our area on Tuesday and Wednesday, the NWS said.
