CHARLOTTE AMALIE — The Virgin Islands Police Department is calling on the public for clues to an armed robbery that took place in St. Thomas last week.
On Friday, April 18, 2025, at approximately 8:00 a.m., the Criminal Investigation Bureau along with the help of the VIPD Patrol Division apprehended Benjamin Jackson, according to the VIPD.
Jackson was positively identified by the victim who called 911 and pointed him out as the individual who robbed him at gunpoint, police said.

The officers transported Jackson to the Criminal Investigation Bureau where he was advised of his rights and placed under arrest, according to the VIPD.
The VIPD is urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211 extensions 5553, 5554, 5555, or 5556.
