Man accused of child sexual assault, abduction after investigation

JANESVILLE, Wisconsin (WMTV) – Law enforcement arrested a 22-year-old man on potential child sex crimes following a Janesville child abduction investigation.

Janesville Police Department explained officers responded Tuesday to a home on the 1500 block of Woodman Drive after a child left the home with a man.

Officers found the child and suspect in Walworth County.

The 22-year-old faces charges of second-degree sexual assault of a child, abduction of a child and two counts of possession of child pornography, from the Janesville investigation.

In the Milton investigation, Munoz is accused of engaging in repeated acts of sexual assault of a child, child enticement, battery/disorderly conduct, disorderly conduct/domestic violence and strangulation/domestic violence.

Janesville Police Department detectives determined the suspect, identified as Daniel Munoz, was allegedly involved in criminal activity with the child for several months in both Janesville and Milton.
