Teen hospitalized after shooting in Florida, police say

MARGATE — A teenager was hospitalized after a shooting Monday night in the Miami area of Florida, according to police.

Police say a 15-year-old boy was shot near the intersection of Rock Island Road and Forest Boulevard and rushed to Broward General Hospital for surgery.

What led to the boy being shot remains under investigation.
