BROAD DAYLIGHT ARMED ROBBERY! At Honduras Area Bar & Restaurant St. Thomas

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A man liming outside a downtown St. Thomas bar and restaurant in his vehicle was robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight Thursday morning, authorities said.

Police were dispatched to the Delicia Bar & Restaurant in Estate Honduras in reference to a robbery about 11:38 a.m. Thursday, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

The initial police report states that the victim was sitting in his vehicle outside of the establishment when two suspects approached him, according to the VIPD.

One of the suspects demanded money, at which he responded that he had none, police said.

“The suspect threatened to shoot the victim and brandished a firearm, so the victim handed the suspect his wallet that contained cash.” VIPD spokesman Toby Derima said. “Both suspects fled the area in a vehicle up Crown Mountain Road.”

This is case is currently under active investigation.
