St. Thomas Man Arrested On Illegal Gun, Domestic Violence Charges Thursday Afternoon: VIPD

CHARLOTTE AMALIE — A St. Thomas man was arrested on illegal gun and domestic violence-related charges on Thursday afternoon, the VIPD said on Twitter.

Godwin James, 53, was arrested at 3:03 p.m. Thursday and charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm and third-degree assault, the Virgin Islands Police Department said.

No bail was set for James as per the territory’s domestic violence statute.

He was remanded to the custody of the Virgin Islands Bureau of Corrections (BOC) pending an advice-of-rights hearing.
