CHRISTIANSTED — Today St. Croix will be mostly cloudy with a thunderstorm in spots this morning followed by occasional rain and a thunderstorm in the afternoon and a high of 86, AccuWeather said.
Tonight St. Croix will have a brief evening shower or two; otherwise it will be mostly cloudy with a low of 75, according to AccuWeather.
An Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory was issued for Cataño and north of San Juan in Puerto Rico at 2:16 a.m. today, the National Weather Service said.
For the larger area today, there is a flooding risk this afternoon, according to the NWS.
“Heavy rain and thunderstorms may cause flooding impacts,” it said on X. “Avoid flooded roads.”
Please use caution if approaching the water this evening, because life-threatening rip currents are expected through tomorrow night, the NWS said.
