CHRISTIANSTED — Today St. Croix will see mostly cloudy conditions with a couple of showers in the morning and a high of 88, AccuWeather said.
A wet and unstable weather pattern that began on Friday continues today, the National Weather Service said.

Expect showers and isolated thunderstorms this evening across Puerto Rico’s interior, according to the NWS.
Some rainfall activity could develop near Puerto Rico’s coastal areas. the NWS said.

Active weather could also develop over regional waters and occasionally move across the smaller islands, according to the NWS.
The risk of rip currents remains high through this afternoon; therefore, beachgoers should exercise caution, the NWS said.

Preliminary rainfall estimates show widespread rainfall totals ranging from 1 to 5 inches across the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, according to the NWS.
Some areas in Ceiba and Arecibo have recorded nearly 9 inches of rain since Friday, the NWS said.
