St. Croix: Breezy with intervals of clouds and sunshine, showers, high 89

CHRISTIANSTED — Today St. Croix will be breezy with intervals of clouds and sunshine and a couple of showers with a high of 89, AccuWeather said.

Tonight St. Croix will be mainly clear with a low of 78, according to AccuWeather.

Shower and thunderstorms will develop over interior and northwestern sections of Puerto Rico this afternoon, the National Weather Service said.

There’s a limited risk of high heat indices along the northern, western and southern urban and coastal areas of Puerto Rico, according to the NWS.

Across the islands, there is a low to moderate risk of rip currents today, the NWS said.

Breezy winds will bring choppy seas and an increase in moderate rip current risk at more beaches through the weekend, according to the NWS.
