CHRISTIANSTED — Today St. Croix will be cloudy and breezy with a passing morning shower or two and a high of 87, AccuWeather said.
Tonight St. Croix will be mostly cloudy with a shower in places late and a low of 77, according to AccuWeather.

The islands will have a limited to locally elevated flood risk today, the National Weather Service said.
“Never drive across flooded roads,” the NWS said on X.

An uptick in showers and thunderstorms, driven by abundant moisture and an upper-level trough, will bring an enhanced risk of flooding to Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, especially Friday and Saturday, according to the NWS.
Prolonged moderate to heavy rainfall may lead to flash flooding, rivers rising, and landslides, the NWS said.
“Some rivers may overflow,” the NWS said. “Residents and visitors in flood-prone areas should monitor forecast updates closely.”
