Tropical Wave Offers ‘Intense Showers and Thunderstorms,’ NWS Says

SAN JUAN — As a tropical wave approaches, there will be more frequent and intense showers and thunderstorms by mid-morning to afternoon, the National Weather Service said.

The combination of the abundant moisture and air temperatures will result in high heat index values, according to the NWS.
