St. Croix: Mostly cloudy with a shower or two in the morning and a high of 87

CHRISTIANSTED — Today St. Croix will be cloudy most of the time with a shower or two in the morning and a high of 87, AccuWeather said.

Tonight St. Croix will be overcast with a thunderstorm occurring late and a low of 77, according to AccuWeather.

The risk of rip currents continues to be moderate today and over the weekend, the National Weather Service said.

However, beachgoers must exercise caution due to possible life-threatening rip currents along the shorelines, according to the NWS.

The Flood Watch for Puerto Rico was extended until Saturday morning due the heavy rainfall expected today. Please stay alert regarding conditions and avoid flooded areas.

April 2025 Rainfall Recap for Puerto Rico

According to the latest preliminary radar estimates, much of Puerto Rico experienced above-average rainfall in April 2025, especially during the last two weeks when a wet and unstable weather pattern took hold.

Many areas in the interior and eastern regions of Puerto Rico saw 15-20 inches of rain (10+ inches above normal), with isolated higher amounts.

Important: These totals do NOT include Thursday’s rain totals, so actual amounts are even higher in some locations!.
